Dr. Carsten Intra was born in Koblenz (Germany) in 1971. After studying mechanical engineering and postgraduate studies in economics at RWTH Aachen University, he obtained his doctorate in 2000. Dr. Intra began his professional career in 2001 as a production engineer at MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, where he became head of the Cab Services department in the same year. After holding various management positions, he took over the management of the business unit for heavy trucks in 2006. In 2007, he was also responsible for the Standard Bus unit as CEO of the MAN Turkey country organization for six months. From 2009 to 2012, Dr. Intra was responsible for production and logistics at MAN Latin America. In 2012, he was appointed to the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus AG and was initially responsible for Production and Logistics, and from 2015 also for Research and Development. Dr. Carsten Intra has been Chief Human Resources Officer and Labour Director of MAN SE and MAN Truck & Bus SE since July 2017. He is also a member of the Executive Board of TRATON SE, responsible for Human Resources and IT.
