Dr. Bernhard Reutersberg

Dr. Bernhard Reutersberg, designated member of the Executive Board of E.ON Ruhrgas AG in Essenspoke in his presentation "Growth prospects in times of change" about the challenges facing a German gas company in a changing market and outlined strategies and growth paths to successfully meet these challenges.

Dr. Reutersberg has held numerous management positions in Germany and abroad during his professional career. From 1984 to 1992, he worked for Henkel KGaA as Marketing and Sales Manager at Henkel Austria in Vienna, as Marketing Director, Loctite Corp., Automotive and Consumer Group, Cleveland/Ohio and as Head of Product Management at Henkel KGaA in Düsseldorf. From 1992 to 2000, Dr. Reutersberg worked for Joh. Vaillant GmbH and Co, Remscheid, most recently as Deputy Managing Director. Since 2000, Dr. Reutersberg has held various management positions at E.ON AG. This includes Chairman of the Management Board of E.ON Vertrieb GmbH (hereinafter E.ON Sales & Trading GmbH) in Munich and membership of the Board of Management of E.ON Energie AG in Munich and E.ON Ruhrgas AG in Essen. In December 2007, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Management of E.ON Ruhrgas AG. Dr. Bernhard Reutersberg will take over as Chairman of the Board of Management of E.ON Ruhrgas AG with effect from March 1, 2008.

In its more than 80-year history, E.ON Ruhrgas AG has developed from a regional distributor into an internationally active gas company. It and its associated companies offer a comprehensive range of services and products for the transportation, storage, marketing and use of natural gas.

In his contribution to the 15th Munich Management Colloquium, Dr. Reutersberg will discuss which success factors are relevant for the profitable growth of an internationally active gas company in order to successfully adapt to the serious changes in the global energy market.
