Dipl.-Ing. Tobias Hilgert

Tobias Hilgert has been working for the SIMON GROUP since July 2014. He began his career at the company as Head of Technology, before being appointed Managing Director of the SIMON GROUP in 2015. His activities focus on corporate strategy with regard to innovation and AI adoption, among other things.

Before joining the SIMON GROUP, Mr. Hilgert headed the Mechanical Engineering department at Acteon / Menck, a leading company in the offshore oil and gas industry, and played a key role in the development of PLM systems for product standardization. Mr. Hilgert began his professional career at MAN Diesel & Turbo, Hamburg, in turbine construction. There he built up the Finite Element Simulation, Structural Mechanics department.

Mr. Hilgert holds a degree in computer science engineering with a focus on scientific computing from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg. Mr. Hilgert also completed a master's degree in business psychology.
