Lars Wagner

Lars Wagner has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of MTU Aero Engines AG since January 2023. His responsibilities include Development & Technology, Human Resources, Strategy, Corporate Communications and Legal. Wagner has also headed the MTU sustainability organization as Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) since May 2022. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Wagner had headed the Technology division as a member of the MTU Executive Board since January 2018. The graduate mechanical engineer, aerospace engineer and Master of Business Administration has been Head of OEM Operations at MTU since July 2015. Prior to this, Wagner held various management positions at Airbus, most recently in Hamburg after holding international positions.

Wagner was born in Cuxhaven in 1975. He studied mechanical and aerospace engineering at RWTH Aachen University, Imperial College London in the UK, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the USA and the Collège des Ingénieurs in Paris.
