biography
Dr. Carsten Linnemann studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Paderborn after graduating with a degree in business administration and completed his doctorate in economics at Chemnitz University of Technology. He completed his studies in economics with a degree in economics and a doctorate in economics.
Following his doctorate, Dr. Linnemann worked as an economist at Deutsche Bank Research and as an assistant to the chief economist of Deutsche Bank, Prof. Norbert Walter. From 2007 to 2009, Dr. Linnemann worked as an economist at IKB Deutsche Industriebank in Düsseldorf in the economic and SME division. He has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2009. In autumn 2013, Dr. Linnemann was elected Federal Chairman of the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion (MIT) of the CDU/CSU. Since March 2018, Dr. Carsten Linnemann has also been Deputy Chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group for the economy, SMEs and tourism.
From 2014 to 2016, Dr. Linnemann was first on the Economic Council and then from 2016 to 2018 on the Supervisory Board of SC Paderborn 07. He has been Vice President of the club since 2018.
