Bernhard Sievering

Mr. Bernhard Sievering, Managing Director of the BvL Group, spoke on the topic "Networked and intelligent machines support management and production".

Mr. Bernhard Sievering, has been Managing Director of BvL Oberflächentechnik GmbH since 1989. Sievering was born on April 25, 1962 in Thuine in Emsland. He graduated from the Johanneum grammar school in Lingen an der Ems in 1982. Sievering then completed his military service, also in Lingen an der Ems. He graduated from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in 1987 with a degree in business administration, specializing in marketing and controlling. Bernhard Sievering began his professional career as a trainee & controller at Coop Handels AG in Frankfurt am Main. In 1989, Bernhard Sievering set up a new division of the BvL Group for the production of metal parts cleaning systems. Since then he has been Managing Director of Bernhard van Lengerich Oberflächentechnik GmbH. Since 1992 he has also been Managing Director of Bernard van Lengerich Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG and has been a partner in the BvL group of companies since 1999. Bernard van Lengerich (BvL) was founded in 1860 as a blacksmith's shop for horseshoes and carriages. The company has been in family hands for five generations. Bernhard Sievering is the son of Waltraud Sievering, née van Lengerich. He is married to Johanna Sievering, with whom he has four children.
