Mr. Andrew Anderson, Chief Operating Officer for the Corporate Technology Office of Airbus Group, spoke on the topic "A pioneering spirit that puts innovation at the heart of everything we do".

Airbus Group is currently striving to improve the range of services offered by the service platforms by adding new services to the product portfolio. The analysis of big data will play an important role in this. The amount of data generated by the products is growing exponentially. By investing in data processing tools, sensors and the qualification of data analytics experts, Airbus Group is responding to the challenge of offering customers added value through the collection and use of data.

Mr. Andrew Anderson, began his career in 1976 as an electrical engineer in South Africa for ADS (today: Thales Group). In 1997 he moved to DASA. His new focus in Germany was on the development of weapon systems for the German F124 and K130 programs. From 2000 he led the development of the Advanced Naval Combat System, an EADS product which was sold to Finland and is currently being further developed for the German F125 program. In 2007, Mr. Anderson was appointed Divisional Director of ATLAS ELEKTRONIK, a joint venture of EADS, and was appointed CTO of the ATLAS Group in 2008. In this position he was responsible for the technology portfolio and corporate strategy of the ATLAS Group, which is largely spread across Germany, Australia, the UK and South Africa. In 2011, he moved to CASSIDIAN as Head of Engineering. After the foundation of Airbus Defense and Space GmbH in 2014, he took over the position as CTO. Since September 2015, Mr. Anderson has been working for the Corporate Technology Office of Airbus Group. As Chief Operating Officer, he leads the operational aspects of the development and technology programs across the Group. This includes the Group's strategy roadmaps, the key elements of which are the hybrid/electric program, cognitive intelligence and sensor systems. Through various programs and projects, Her Anderson has gained work experience in Israel, Chile, Spain, Finland and Malaysia.
