Alfred Weber, Chairman of the Management Board of MANN+HUMMEL GMBH in Ludwigsburgspoke in his presentation "Proud of every wrinkle MANN+HUMMEL: resource efficiency in Swabian" about ways and strategies in which innovations can be used to generate growth in Germany.

Dipl.-Kfm. Alfred Weber studied economics and organizational sciences at the University of Munich. From 1977 to 1989, Mr. Weber was an officer in the German Air Force. In 1989, he began his industrial career as a manager at Kühnle, Kopp & Kausch (Borg Warner since 1997) in Frankenthal and Kirchheimbolanden. In 2002, Mr. Weber moved to the USA for Borg Warner and managed various business units there. Since January 2010, Mr. Weber has been Chairman of the Management Board of MANN+HUMMEL GMBH and MANN+HUMMEL HOLDING GMBH.

MANN+HUMMEL is a development partner and series supplier to the international automotive and mechanical engineering industry. The Group's products include air filter systems, intake systems, liquid filter systems, cabin air filters and cylinder head covers made of plastic with a high degree of integration for the automotive industry as well as filter elements for the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.

With 41 locations worldwide and around 13,200 employees, MANN+HUMMEL is one of the major players in the automotive supply industry. In 2010, the company achieved a turnover of 2.18 billion euros.
