Josip T. Tomasevic is currently the Senior Vice President & CPO, Global Purchasing and Materials Management at AGCO Corporation, a position he has held since 2019. In this role, he is responsible for AGCO’s global spend and develops and implements strategies through strategic Global Category Management and Supplier Development. He aligns the needs of Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Marketing on a global scale. Additionally, he oversees the development of the Purchasing and Materials functional strategy and assumes responsibilities for regional Purchasing and Materials Organizations.
Previously, from 2011 to 2018, Josip served as Vice President & CPO, Global Purchasing and Materials Management at AGCO in Duluth, GA. During this time, he managed global spend and strategy implementation, directed Regional Purchasing Organizations, and contributed to AGCO’s position as a Fortune 300 company focused on agricultural machinery.
From 2004 to 2011, he was the Head of Corporate Purchasing at CLAAS KGaA mbH in Harsewinkel, where he directed corporate purchasing and strategic procurement activities. He successfully led the post-merger integration of Renault Agriculture.
Josip also held the role of Director Corporate Purchasing at GILDEMEISTER AG in the Bielefeld Area, Germany, from May 2000 to April 2004. There, he implemented integrated purchasing management concepts, established systematic supplier management systems, executed global sourcing activities, and managed the post-merger integration of the Italian group „GITAL.“
He holds an International Senior Management Program certification from St. Gallen Business School (SGBS), completed in 2009, focusing on Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Controlling, and Leadership. Josip also earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Production Systems from Hochschule Esslingen – University of Applied Sciences in 1993.
