He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Belgrano and completed postgraduate studies in Economic Theory at the Institute for Economic and Social Development and in Economics at the Torcuato Di Tella University.
Before his presidency, he built a distinguished career as Chief Economist at Máxima AFJP, Coordinator at Estudio Broda, and Advisor to the Argentine Government at ICSID. He also served as Chief Economist at Fundación Acordar, was a member of the B20, part of the ICC International Economic Policy Group (advising the G20 on economic policy design), and contributed as a member of the World Economic Forum.
An expert in growth economics, Milei has taught Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Theory, Financial Theory, Economic Growth, and Mathematical Economics at prestigious universities in Argentina and abroad.
He is also a prolific author, having published over 50 academic articles, nearly 100 journalistic pieces in leading national media, and 6 books, including “Política Económica Contrarreloj”, “Lecturas de Economía en tiempos del kirchnerismo”, and “El retorno al Sendero de la Decadencia Argentina”.
