Dr.-Ing. E. h. Wolfgang Leese, Chairman of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AGspoke in his presentation "Success factors for profitable growth using the example of Salzgitter AG" about the prerequisites for long-term successful corporate growth.

Dr.-Ing. E. h. Wolfgang Leese has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG since 2000. After training as an industrial clerk and studying business administration, he was Director of Controlling at Halbergerhütte GmbH and its subsidiaries from 1973 to 1988. This was followed by a position as Director of Special Tasks and Controlling at Krupp Stahl AG from 1988-1989, after which Mr. Leese was Commercial Director of Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann GmbH from 1990-1993. From 1993-1997 he was a member of the Executive Board of Krupp Hoesch Verarbeitung. Mr. Leese was responsible for finance and controlling and was Chairman of the Management Board of Hoesch Hohenlimburg GmbH. Since 1997, Mr. Leese has been Chairman of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Nirosta and a member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Stainless. In 2000, Mr. Leese was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG.
