Timotheus Höttges

biography
Mr. Höttges is currently a member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG's Finance division and will take over as Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG at the beginning of 2014. Mr. Höttges will be speaking at the Munich Management Colloquium 2014.
Deutsche Telekom AG, based in Bonn, is the largest telecommunications company in Europe. The Group, which emerged from the privatization of Deutsche Bundespost, currently employs around 230,000 people worldwide, almost 70,000 of them in Germany alone. With activities such as the provision of information and communication services and the operation of technical networks, the company achieved a turnover of more than 58 billion euros in 2012.
Mr. Timotheus Höttgesborn in 1962, has been a member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG since March 2009. He is responsible for Finance and Controlling. Mr. Höttges studied business administration at the University of Cologne before working for a consulting firm for three years. At the end of 1992, he moved to the VIAG Group in Munich, where he held leading positions from 1997. As project manager responsible for controlling, corporate planning and M&A, he played a key role in the merger of VIAG AG with VEBA AG to form E.on AG. In 2000, Mr. Höttges moved to the Telekom Group. Following the successful implementation of various cost-cutting programs at T-Home and various tasks at T-Mobile, which led him to take over the "Sales and Service Operations" department on the Board of Management of T-Mobile International, Mr. Höttges was appointed to the Group Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG in 2006. Here he was responsible for the broadband and fixed network until taking up his current position as CFO in 2009.
