Mr. Thomas Bubendorfer, extreme mountaineer and author from Monacospoke on the subject of "High performance and rest - on the optimal development of personal performance".

Although Mr. Bubendorfer climbs up to 130 days a year and trains for more than 200 hours, he has written seven books. In 2011, his first book was published in China, which contrasts his Western performance philosophy with the Chinese culture of today and yesterday. Since 1984, he has given more than 900 speeches for companies all over the world and shows top managers in individual coaching how they can deal with their mental and physical potential in a meaningful and coherent way.

Thomas Bubendorfer is one of the most successful active mountaineers of our time. He made history at the age of 16 when he became the youngest climber to complete steep faces of the highest difficulty level single-handedly. He became internationally famous with the first rope-free solo ascent of the north face of the Eiger in a record time of less than five hours. To date, he has achieved more than 90 first solo ascents, record ascents and first ascents in the world's mountains. In 2012, now aged 50, he achieved four first ascents in the Alps and Tibet, two of them solo at over 6,000 meters.

In his lectures, Mr. Bubendorfer talks about the insights and experiences of an extreme athlete and how these can be used by managers who have to survive in today's business world.
