Rüdiger Eberhard

Mr. Rüdiger Eberhard, Head of Procurement (CPO), spoke on the topic "Modern specialty chemicals: contribution to sustainable management".

With ideas in the areas of resource efficiency, health and nutrition, Evonik develops products and solutions in areas such as the generation and storage of solar and other renewable energies, high-performance plastics and active ingredients for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.

Mr. Rüdiger Eberhard, born in 1960, has been Head of Global Purchasing at Evonik Industries AG since 2009. After studying business administration and holding various positions in Controlling and Finance at Röhm GmbH, he was responsible for Controlling & Strategy at the Röhm Group from 1996. As part of the Degussa and Hüls merger in 1999, he moved to the newly founded Aerosil & Silanes business unit. Within the management, he was responsible for Controlling, Strategy, SCM and IT. In spring 2004, he took over regional business responsibility for North America for the Aerosil & Silanes BU based in the USA. After a successful turnaround, he headed the global Aerosil and Rubber Reinforcement business lines from 2007. Following successful integration, he moved to his current role. In this role, he has also been the founding president of the international sustainability initiative TfS (Together for Sustainability) since December 1, 2014.
