Mr. Rolf Buch, Chairman of the Management Board of Vonovia SE, spoke on the topic "New paths to affordable living: the apartment building from the factory".

Vonovia emerged from the merger of Deutsche Annington and GAGFAH and is headquartered in Bochum. With around 400,000 apartments, Vonovia is the largest housing company and the largest private landlord in Germany. The company's roots lie in non-profit housing construction. The focus is therefore on offering good and affordable living space. Vonovia does not act as a landlord in its neighborhoods, but rather as a service provider that offers its tenants customer-oriented housing services. For this reason, customer satisfaction is a high priority and has been recorded once a quarter since 2012. Vonovia is the first housing company in Germany to be included in the DAX 30 index.

Mr. Rolf Buchborn in Weidenau (Siegen) in 1965, is Chairman of the Management Board (CEO) of Vonovia SE. After studying mechanical engineering and business administration at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen, he began his professional career in 1991 as assistant to the management at Bertelsmann Distribution GmbH. After holding positions as Head of Lettershop, Head of Direct Marketing Factory and Product Line Manager, he became Managing Director of Bertelsmann Services France in 1996. From 1999, he was Chairman of the Executive Board of the Bertelsmann Services Group. After a stint at arvato AG, he became Chairman of the Executive Board (CEO) of Vonovia SE in 2013.
