MKM Mansfelder Kupfer und Messing GmbH is one of the leading manufacturers of preliminary products and semi-finished products made of copper and copper alloys. MKM is one of the few manufacturers in the world to offer wire, strip, tubes, rods and sheets from a single source. In 2013, the company processed more than 260,000 tons of copper. In addition to a wide range of products, MKM specializes in individual solutions for industry and plant engineering. With the latest technologies and market-driven service concepts, MKM is active worldwide as a partner in growth markets such as electromobility, energy and infrastructure. The company employed around 1100 people in 2013, generating sales of over €1.0 billion.

Mr. Roland Harings is CEO of MKM Mansfelder Kupfer und Messing GmbH. The graduate engineer (RWTH Aachen) has international experience in the semi-finished metal products and automotive supply industry and was responsible for the European automotive supply business of Novelis, the world's leading manufacturer of rolled aluminum products, before joining MKM. In addition, as Vice President of Novelis Inc., Atlanta (USA), Harings was responsible for the successful expansion of the automotive division in China and the USA.
