Dieter H. Vogel joined Bertelsmann AG in 1970 as deputy chairman of the "Mohndruck" management board after studying mechanical engineering in Darmstadt and obtaining his doctorate in engineering at the Technical University of Munich. After many years in management and board positions at Pegulan AG (Frankenthal) and in the Thyssen Group, he became managing partner of Bessemer, Vogel & Treichl GmbH (Düsseldorf) in 1998. Since September 2004, he has been managing partner of LGB & Vogel GmbH (Düsseldorf). Dieter H. Vogel is also a member of the supervisory boards of Bertelsmann AG, mobilcom AG, Wacker Construction AG, WCM AG and Klöckner & Co. GmbH. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Gerling Konzern AG.
