Prof. Dr. Heinz-Walter Große, Chairman of the Management Board, Chief Human Resources and Legal Officer, Labor Director of B. Braun Melsungen AG, spoke on the topic "Digitalization in a medical technology company".

Prof. Dr. Heinz-Walter Große began his professional career in 1978 after successfully completing his studies in business administration at the University of Göttingen in the finance department of B. Braun Melsungen AG, where he initially worked as an assistant to the Chief Financial Officer. From 1983 to 1988, he held the position of Director of Budgeting and Planning and later Vice President of Material Control at B. Braun of America Inc. During this time, he completed his doctorate at the University of Göttingen on the subject of "Short-term accounting in the USA". In 1989, he assumed responsibility as a member of the management team at B. Braun Austria GmbH. From 2003, he was the sole managing director there. Since 1990, he also held subgroup responsibility for Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania as well as for the development and expansion of the B. Braun country organizations of all B. Braun divisions, particularly in the dialysis provider business. Prof. Dr. Große joined the Management Board of B. Braun Melsungen AG in 2005 and became Deputy Chairman of the Management Board in April 2009. On April 1, 2011, he took over as Chairman of the Management Board. In 2012, Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences appointed him honorary professor. Prof. Dr. Heinz-Walter Große is married and has two children.
