With 31 offices in 22 countries, 1,630 employees and a turnover of around EUR 530 million, Roland Berger Strategy Consulting is one of the world's leading strategy consultancies. On the basis of his extensive experience in corporate management issues, which include in particular the problems of fundamental corporate orientation and thus also innovation and location strategy, the founder of the consultancy, Prof. Dr. h. c. Roland Berger, will speak on the topic of innovation and off-shoring as strategic directions in globalization.
Prof. Dr. h. c. Roland Berger founded the consultancy Roland Berger & Partner in 1967 after studying business administration. In addition to the rapidly growing consulting business, he also held various teaching positions at the Technical Universities of Munich and Cottbus. Roland Berger is also a member of university councils and boards of trustees as well as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Finland in the Free States of Bavaria and Thuringia and is a member of several supervisory boards and advisory boards.
Roland Berger was and is a member of several political expert groups and expert commissions, including the Innovation Advisory Council of the Federal President, the Expert Group for Structural Reforms of the Deutsche Bundesbank, the Expert Council "Lean Government", the "Partners for Innovation" initiative and the "Baden-Württemberg Innovation Forum".
