biography

Prof. Dr. Claus E. Heinrich has been a member of the Executive Board of SAP AG since 1996. As Labor Director, he is responsible for global human resources. He is also responsible for software production, quality management and internal IT. He also coordinates all development centers worldwide. After joining SAP in 1987, Heinrich coordinated MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning) development and headed the Logistics Controlling development division. Following his appointment to the Executive Board in 1996, he was responsible for the development of SAP R/3, mySAP SCM and solutions for the manufacturing industry.

Prof. Dr. Claus E. Heinrich is a member of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Mannheim and lectures in supply chain management. He is the author of several articles and books, including "Adapt or Die - Transforming Your Supply Chain into an Adaptive Business Network" and "RFID and Beyond - Growing Your Business Through Real World Awareness".
