Peter Gerstmann is Chairman of the Management Board of Zeppelin GmbH.
The Zeppelin Group offers solutions in the areas of construction, drive and energy as well as engineering and plant construction. The portfolio ranges from sales and service of construction, mining, forestry and agricultural machinery to rental and project solutions for construction and industry, drive and energy systems as well as engineering and plant construction and is supplemented by digital business models. Zeppelin is represented at more than 340 locations in 43 countries and regions worldwide. In the 2021 financial year, almost 11,000 employees generated revenue of 3.7 billion euros. The Group organizes its cooperation in six strategic business units (Construction Equipment Central Europe, Construction Equipment Nordics, Construction Equipment Eurasia, Rental, Power Systems, Plant Engineering) and the Strategic Management Center Zeppelin Digit. Zeppelin GmbH is the holding company of the Group with its legal domicile in Friedrichshafen and its headquarters in Garching near Munich. The Zeppelin Group is a foundation company. Vita Peter Gerstmann
From 1984 to 1987, Peter Gerstmann studied business administration at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. He also worked at Massa AG in Siegburg from 1984. In 1987, he became Head of Controlling at Battenfeld Fischer Blasformtechnik and Lemmerz Werke. From 1993 to 2000, he was Head of Controlling and Administration at SMS Eumuco GmbH in Leverkusen.
Peter Gerstmann has been working for the Zeppelin Group for over 22 years. In 2000, he took over the commercial management of Zeppelin Silos & Systems GmbH, where he was appointed Managing Director in 2002. In 2006, he also became Managing Director of the Zeppelin Group Management Board. Peter Gerstmann has been Chairman of the Zeppelin Group Management Board since January 2010.
