Michael Stomberg

Mr. Michael Stombergborn in 1970, is responsible for investments, IT, Group process management, HSE and quality management at BAUER Aktiengesellschaft.

After working in England, France and the USA, he studied physics at the University of Hamburg and began his professional career in 1997 at the management consultancy Booz Allen Hamilton in Munich. There he worked as a consultant for strategic and operational projects for companies from various industries in Germany and abroad. From 2003 to 2006, Michael Stomberg was a member of the management team at Booz Allen Hamilton before deciding to move into industry. He joined EagleBurgmann, a leading global supplier of industrial sealing technology, which is part of the Freudenberg family group, as a project manager for the management. In the years that followed, he held several management positions before becoming a member of the company's Management Board in 2013. Until 2018, Michael Stomberg was Chief Operating Officer (COO) and responsible for product development and innovation, production, HSE and quality management as well as for handling the international project business. Michael Stomberg has been Chairman of the Management Board of BAUER Aktiengesellschaft since November 2018.

Michael Stomberg is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST.
