biography
In his presentation, Mr. Johann Löttner will deal with the topic "Transformation from mechanics-dominated to software-dominated companies using the example of Dematic".
Dematic GmbH & Co. KG, a global provider of logistics automation, offers customers in the wholesale and retail, mail order, food and beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical, automotive and manufacturing industries innovative solutions for industrial and distribution logistics.
Dematic is active in the four fields of complete logistics solutions, logistics IT, mechatronic components and customer service. Dematic's product and service portfolio is divided into four new fields of activity: mechatronic components (conveyors, sorters, storage and retrieval machines), complete solutions, logistics IT with ERP connection, RFID and track & trace, and customer services. Dematic thus occupies leading positions in the European and US markets and is aiming for further growth in the Asian region. In the course of the reorganization of the Siemens Logistics and Assembly Division, Dematic was spun off into an independent GmbH in order to be able to operate more flexibly in a market environment characterized by medium-sized companies.
Johann Löttner has held various positions within the Mannesmann Group since 1975, most recently as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Mannesmann VDO AG. With the foundation of Siemens VDO Automotive AG in May 2001, Mr. Löttner took over the position of Chief Financial Officer. With the integration of Mannesmann Dematic AG into the Siemens Group, Mr. Löttner became Chairman of the Managing Board of Siemens Dematic AG and later Chairman of the Divisional Board of Siemens Logistics & Assembly. As part of the spin-off of Dematic GmbH & Co. KG to become the world's leading provider of logistics automation, Mr. Löttner took on the role of Spokesman of the Management Board. At the 14th Munich Management Colloquium, Mr. Löttner will speak on the topic of "Value Creation and Competition".
