Herbert Bodner

Mr. Herbert Bodner, Chairman of the Executive Board of the construction company Bilfinger Berger AGspoke in his presentation "Multinational and diversified - challenges for the corporate organization" about the challenges and successes of Bilfinger Berger AG in organizing its globally distributed corporate units.

Mr. Herbert Bodner has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Bilfinger Berger AG since 1999 and is responsible for corporate development, communications, legal affairs and non-European investments. He is also Deputy Chairman of Bilfinger Berger Australia Pty Limited, Sydney. He joined Bilfinger Berger AG in 1991 and held various management positions at foreign subsidiaries of Bilfinger Berger AG until 1996, before becoming a Deputy Member of the Executive Board in 1997 and a full Member of the Executive Board of Bilfinger Berger AG in 1998. Born in Graz, Austria, in 1948, Mr. Bodner studied civil engineering at the University of Stuttgart from 1966 to 1971. From 1971 to 1990 he worked at Ed. Züblin AG, Stuttgart.

In his contribution to the 16th Munich Management Colloquium, Mr. Herbert Bodner will discuss the challenges faced by the globally active company Bilfinger Berger AG and which entrepreneurial concepts are used to manage this multi-layered and diversified company.
