Hanno D. Wentzler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities KGspoke about the necessity of global market development to secure the competitiveness and success of a German chemical company in his presentation "Securing the location through internationalization".

Freudenberg Chemical Specialities KG was founded in 2004 as a new division within the Freudenberg Group. Freudenberg Chemical Specialities continues to develop the Division in a structured manner with clear growth targets. The Group Division includes the largely independently operating divisions: Klüber Lubrication KG, Germany, Chem-Trend, USA, and OKS Spezialschmierstoffe GmbH, Munich. The companies are already market leaders in the fields of high-performance specialty lubricants and release agents for the plastics, rubber and metal casting industries. Together, they generated sales of 512 million euros in 2008 and employed 2490 people at over 55 locations in 30 countries.

Hanno D. Wentzler has been Chairman of the Management Board of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities since 2004. He is also Regional Representative for Freudenberg in China and Chairman of Freudenberg Management (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. Wentzler is a member of the fifth generation of the Freudenberg family. The 55-year-old can look back on an international career. After studying for an MBA at Boston University, Wentzler worked at the investment bank J.P. Morgan in New York and Frankfurt. He joined the Freudenberg Group in 1986 and held senior sales positions, first at Freudenberg Simrit in Kufstein, Austria, and then at Freudenberg Dichtungs- und Schwingungstechnik in Weinheim. Most recently, Wentzler was Chairman of the Management Board of Klüber Lubrication for nine years.
