With its two divisions, High-Performance Plastics and Automotive Plastics, it focuses on processing high-quality plastics into semi-finished products, parts and systems for a wide range of industrial applications. In 2014, the Röchling Automotive Group generated sales of € 634 million with 4,200 employees and is represented worldwide with 22 locations on 4 continents. Röchling Automotive's core competencies include aerodynamics and acoustics in every segment of the vehicle. The product portfolio also includes products aimed at increasing acoustic comfort while reducing vehicle weight, as well as fluid components and interior applications.
Erwin Dollborn in 1959, studied mechanical engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern and graduated with a degree in theoretical mechanical engineering. He then worked for BASF in the Plastics Division for a total of 13 years from 1984, from project engineer and key account manager to sales division manager. In 1998, Doll moved to the automotive supplier Johnson Controls. There he was initially responsible for the BMW Group business unit as Sales Director and later as General Manager. After four years, Doll moved to the Plastic Omnium Group and took over as Managing Director in Germany. As a member of the divisional management of Plastic Omnium Auto Exterior, he also chaired the Central Europe region with plants in Germany, Belgium, Poland and Slovakia. In 2006, Doll joined the Röchling Group, where he was appointed to the Management Board for Sales and Development. In 2011, he was appointed Spokesman of the Management Board.
