Dr. Wolfgang Brunn, Managing Partner of A W Brunn International GmbH, will talk about the opportunities and framework conditions for a medium-sized company to operate successfully in China in his presentation "Medium-sized participation in Chinese growth programs - challenges, opportunities and risks".
Dr. Wolfgang Brunn began his career with scientific training at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at Clausthal University of Technology. He was employed there from l97l to l978 as a research assistant and senior assistant. After a two-year interlude as a management consultant, he began working for MAN Gutehoffnungshütte GmbH, Oberhausen, in 1980. He was employed for six years as department director and authorized signatory for strategic planning, plant planning, organization, data processing and work and time management. As early as l987, he moved to the top of the Executive Board of MAN Technologie AG, Augsburg. In January 1996 he became Chairman of the Executive Board of MAN Gutehoffnungshütte AG and from 2000 he was Managing Director of the successor company MAN GHH Immobilien GmbH. From 2001 to 2005, he was a member of the Executive Board of MAN AG and, since 2006, Spokesman of the Management Board of MAN IT Services GmbH. Since 2006, Mr. Wolfgang Brunn has been a managing partner of A W Brunn International GmbH.
In his contribution to the 17th Munich Management Colloquium, Dr. Wolfgang Brunn will discuss how SMEs can participate in the Chinese growth programs. Dr. Wolfgang Brunn will focus in particular on the challenges, opportunities and risks that SMEs face in this context. Participation in the growth programs can represent an opportunity for SMEs to operate successfully on the global market even in times of a poor economic situation.
