Dr. Werner Widuckel, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG and responsible for the Human Resources and Social Affairs division, talks about the importance of efficient and considered HR management in times of crisis in his presentation "Crisis as an opportunity for sustainable HR management".

Dr. Werner Widuckel was born on October 23, 1958 in Salzgitter (Lower Saxony). After graduating from high school in Wolfsburg in 1977, he worked in production at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg before beginning his studies in social sciences at the University of Göttingen in 1979. Dr. Widuckel graduated with a degree in social economics in 1984. He then worked as a research assistant at the Sociological Seminar at the University of Göttingen. In 2003, he received his doctorate from the Technical University in Braunschweig as Dr. rer. pol. Dr. Widuckel began his professional career in 1985 as a consultant at the General and Group Works Council of Volkswagen AG. In 1991, he became Head of Coordination of the European Group Works Council, the Global Group Works Council and the General and Group Works Council of Volkswagen AG.

From 2005, Dr. Widuckel was Head of "Personnel Policy and Fundamental Issues" within the Human Resources and Social Affairs division of AUDI AG in Ingolstadt. Since December 8, 2005, Dr. Werner Widuckel has been a member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, responsible for the Human Resources and Social Affairs division.
