Dr. Thomas Sedran

Dr. Thomas Sedran has been a member of the Executive Board of CARIAD since March 2022, where he is Chief Financial Officer.

Sedran began his career at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he worked for more than 12 years in various management positions, most recently as a partner and head of the global automotive practice. In 2012, Sedran was appointed member of the Board of Management of Adam Opel AG and interim CEO. In 2015, he became Head of Group Strategy at Volkswagen AG. From 2018, he was Chairman of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand. Before joining Cariad, Sedran was most recently Head of Investment Management Commercial Vehicles and Mechanical Engineering at the Volkswagen Group.

Thomas Sedran studied business administration at the University of Hohenheim and the UCLA Anderson School of Management and earned his doctorate at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
