Dr. Thomas Enders

CEO
EADS N. V.

biography

In his presentation "Innovation processes in the aerospace industry", Dr. Thomas Enders, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EADS and Chairman of Atlantik-Brücke e.V., will highlight possible fields of innovation and growth opportunities for the aerospace industry in Europe. He will give an insight into his assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of Germany as a business location as well as the innovation strategies of the large corporation he manages.
Â
Based on current trends and the initial situation for innovations in aerospace technology, Dr. Enders' presentation is expected to provide deep insights into the growth areas and opportunities of the major European corporation. He will address both the prospects for success of the new programs and the success factors of the Group. The German aerospace industry is expecting medium-term sales growth for the sector of around five percent per annum, based on the positive signals from airlines regarding growth in passenger numbers. Further orders are therefore expected, which will lead to job security or even growth at the German sites.
Â
Dr. Thomas Enders has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EADS since June 2005. Before succeeding Rainer Hertrich as CEO of EADS, Dr. Enders was Head of the Defence and Security Systems Division and a member of the EADS Executive Board (2000 to 2005). Enders has been President of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI) since April 2005 and took over as Chairman of Atlantik-Brücke e.V. in June 2005.
