Dr. Klaus Elmer, Technical Managing Director, Eissmann Group Automotive spoke in his presentation "Approaches to crisis management in the medium-sized automotive supplier industry" about challenges, ways and strategies out of the crisis from the perspective of a medium-sized automotive supplier.
Dr. Klaus Elmer took over the management of Marketing, Sales, Technical Development, Production and Quality Assurance in 2008. After studying business administration in Passau and Cardiff, he completed his doctorate at the Technical University of Munich. He worked for many years as a managing director in the automotive industry and has many years of specialist and management experience at international companies.
The Eissmann Group Automotive specializes in vehicle interiors. The portfolio ranges from trim parts such as center consoles, instrument panels, arm rests and door panels to combined control parts such as gearshift handles, handbrake covers and selector levers, through to complete systems or modules. The Eissmann Group Automotive was founded in 1964. In over 40 years, a small Swabian family business has grown into a globally active company with a modern management structure in nine countries on four continents. In 2008, the Eissmann Group generated a turnover of 160 million euros at its locations in Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, South Africa, Slovakia, Great Britain, Mexico, the USA and China.
In his contribution to the 17th Munich Management Colloquium, Dr. Klaus Elmer will discuss the particular challenges facing a medium-sized automotive supplier in times of crisis and which levers should be used to overcome them. He will present some concepts and experiences and highlight opportunities for the Eissmann Automotive Group in economically turbulent times.
