Dr.-Ing. Manfred Bayerlein has been a member of the Board of Management with responsibility for Operations Management at TÜV SÜD AG, Munich, since January 1, 2008. Dr. Manfred Bayerlein's new tasks include the optimization of operational processes for global customer orientation. This also includes the development of a group-wide marketing and sales strategy as well as global key account management. In 2003, Dr. Manfred Bayerlein joined the TÜV SÜD Group as Spokesman of the Management Board of TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH. Within a few years, Dr. Manfred Bayerlein succeeded in more than tripling the operating profit of his business unit by implementing a comprehensive turnaround strategy. The profitability of TÜV Service GmbH was thus sustainably strengthened for future challenges.

Dr. Manfred Bayerlein was previously Managing Director of MESSER Cutting & Welding GmbH in Frankfurt and Paris, a HOECHST Group company, and held various management positions in the German ABB Group. At the 15th Munich Management Colloquium, he will give a lecture on the topic of "Profitable growth through customer focus and innovation in service" hold.
