Dr.-Ing. Helmut Leube

Dr.-Ing. Helmut Leube, Chairman of the Management Board of DEUTZ AGspoke on the topic of "Increasing customer benefits - utilizing diversity - mastering complexity".

More than 140 years ago, Nicolaus August Otto and Eugen Langen founded "N.A. Otto & Cie.", the world's first engine factory. Today, the resulting DEUTZ AG is one of the world's largest independent manufacturers of diesel engines. The range of applications for DEUTZ engines extends from construction machinery, agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles to airfield equipment, ships and gen-sets. DEUTZ AG and its employees have always been driven by the desire to achieve the greatest possible customer benefit. In view of DEUTZ AG's wide range of applications and customers and the resulting diversity of variants, the company has combined modular product structures in the DEUTZ DVERT® modular system. The modular system combines all the technological components required to meet the increasing demands of environmentally friendly and efficient drive solutions with maximum customer benefit. To master the complexity, DEUTZ has developed new concepts in production and logistics, among other things, in order to be able to supply its customers with sustainable high quality and reliable performance at economical overall costs.

Dr. Leube holds a doctorate in engineering and studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Here he also completed his doctorate at the machine tool laboratory, where he worked as a senior engineer for two years following his doctorate. Dr. Leube began his industrial career at Bayrische Motorenwerke AG in 1987 and held various positions until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, he served as President of BMW Manufacturing Corp. in the USA. He then took over as Plant Manager of the Munich plant. In the same year, Dr. Leube moved to Webasto AG in Munich as Chief Operation Officer, where he worked until 2008. Dr. Leube has been Chairman of the Board of Management of DEUTZ AG since 2008.
