Süd-Chemie is a listed, globally active, highly innovative specialty chemicals company based in Munich. Mr. Dr. Günter von Au joined the Wacker-Chemie Group in 1980 after studying textile and plastics chemistry (FH) and chemistry (Uni) and completing his doctorate. After holding various management positions in Germany and abroad, he was most recently Chairman of Wacker Polymer Systems GmbH & Co. KG in Burghausen. In 2001, he moved to the Süd-Chemie Group and became Chairman of the Executive Board of Süd-Chemie AG, Munich, in 2004.
