Lenze AG stands for innovative drive technology: power electronics from DC and frequency inverters to servo technology, geared motors, gearboxes and small drives are produced by Lenze in state-of-the-art series production and are used around the globe. The Group employs 3,000 people worldwide, around 1,800 of them in Germany. In the 2004/2005 financial year, it generated a turnover of EUR 466.2 million. This corresponds to an increase of a good four percent compared to the previous year. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose by more than 15 percent to EUR 28.8 million.

Dr.-Ing. Erhard Tellbüscher returned to university for several years after his traineeship at Robert Bosch GmbH. He obtained his doctorate in engineering at the Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools at the University of Hanover. He joined Lenze in 1986, became a member of the Lenze Group Management Board in 1991 and has been Chairman of the Management Board of Lenze AG since May 2002.
