The STIHL Group, headquartered in Waiblingen, Germany, is represented in over 160 countries worldwide and is the number one in the chainsaw sector. In addition to chainsaws, STIHL AG's product range includes equipment for cleaning, soil cultivation, park and landscape maintenance, forestry mowing and gardening.

Dr. Bertram Kandziora was born on February 14, 1956 in Silesia. After graduating with a degree in engineering from the Technical University of Karlsruhe, he completed his doctorate at the Institute for Computer Application in Planning and Design in the field of assembly automation. From 1988 to 2002, he held management positions at Robert Bosch GmbH, Scintilla AG and BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH. Most recently, he was product area manager at BSH, responsible for the production of stoves and extractor hoods in 14 domestic and foreign plants.

Dr. Bertram Kandziora has been with STIHL since February 1, 2002. Since July 1, 2005, he has been Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Production and Materials Management Officer of STIHL AG. His areas of responsibility include the production plants in Germany and abroad, procurement, from scheduling to purchasing, as well as corporate communications and public relations.
