Dr. Bernd Montag

Dr. Bernd Montag has been CEO of Siemens Healthineers since February 2015. The company has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as Siemens Healthineers AG (SHL) since March 2018. Since September 2021, the company has been listed in the DAX, Germany's most important share index.

Bernd Montag joined Siemens in 1995. He held positions in central quality management and sales in the hearing aid division before moving to the imaging systems division in 1999. There he worked in product management for computed tomography and as head of marketing for the magnetic resonance business. In 2004, he assumed overall responsibility for computed tomography and was appointed President of the Imaging & Therapy Division in 2008, which bundled the entire business with imaging diagnostics and image-guided therapies.

Bernd Montag completed his studies in physics at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg with a doctorate in theoretical multi-particle physics. He was born in Munich in 1969.
