Dr. Axel von Wiedersperg

Dr. Axel von Wiedersperg is CEO of the Brückner Group, a group of market-leading mechanical engineering companies in the plastics and packaging industry.

With a doctorate in law, he acquired his business management skills at the strategy consultancy Bain & Company from 2001 to 2004. His last client as a consultant was Mannesmann Plastics Machinery GmbH, for which he set up a profitability improvement program and implemented it from the holding company in 2004 to 2005.

From 2005 to 2009, he gained insights into the operational depths of mechanical engineering at the Demag Plastics Group, first as Production and Logistics Manager in Cleveland Ohio and later as VP Operations in Schwaig near Nuremberg with responsibility for plants in the USA, India, China and two plants in Germany. Since 2009, he has managed the Brückner Group, which is organized around Brückner Maschinenbau, the global market leader in systems for bi-axially stretched films. The Group includes the service company Brückner Servtec, the thermoforming specialist Kiefel GmbH based in Freilassing and the Swiss company PackSys Global AG, which is the world market leader in the field of laminate tube machines, among other things.
