In his presentation, Dr. Andreas Tecklenburg will address the topic of "Product development as an instrument for increasing value at a university hospital".
The healthcare system is on a collision course between patient needs and economic reality. Under these conditions, positioning in value-based competition is of strategic importance. In this context, value is the medical benefit per euro invested. Process design, patient orientation and standardization are tools on the way to results-oriented product development.
The specialist in anesthesiology and clinic manager was Managing Director of Sana Kliniken GmbH from 2001 to 2004; previously, he was Managing Director of Ostholstein Kliniken GmbH and Krankenhaus Fehmarn GmbH, among others. Due to his professional background, he has extensive experience in the areas of medical service planning and quality management and assurance in hospital operations.
