Dag Andersson, President and CEO of Diaverumspoke in his presentation "Globalization of healthcare services" about the changed framework conditions and challenges for healthcare providers due to globalization.
Diaverum is one of the world's leading providers of care services in nephrology and dialysis. Since opening its first dialysis facility in 1990, Diaverum has 20 years of experience in the medical care of dialysis patients. The company is active in 14 countries and serves the needs of over 16,000 patients. Diaverum operates over 210 dialysis centers in Europe, Latin America and Australia. The company was acquired by Bridgepoint in 2007. In addition to a global orientation, the company also has local roots. In addition to central functions such as medical expertise, quality management, training and continuing education, each individual medical director of a dialysis center has extensive responsibility and decision-making freedom.
Dag Andersson is President and CEO of Diaverum. A native of Sweden, he studied at the Stockholm School of Economics, where he received his bachelor's degree, and graduated with an MBA from the internationally renowned business school Insead. Mr. Andersson has extensive experience in managing healthcare providers that have been acquired by private equity funds. Prior to joining Diaverum, Mr. Andersson held various positions at SKF and later served as President of Mölnlycke Health Care's Surgical division. Mr. Andersson currently lives in Munich.
