Bernhard Wenzler, CEO Defence Electronics at EADS Deutschland GmbH spoke about the growth strategy of EADS Defence Electronics in his presentation "Prerequisites for successful globalization in the security-related industry".

Bernhard Wenzler is CEO Defense Electronics at EADS. In his role, he represents the Defense and Security Division for the Defence Electronics business unit. Bernhard Wenzler began his career at the management consultancy Management Partner. In 1995, he moved to DASA's purchasing department and shortly afterwards became Strategic Purchasing Manager. At the same time, Bernhard Wenzler took over the management of purchasing for non-production-related materials for Daimler Benz and coordinated the military offset business for the entire group of companies. In 2001, he initiated the EADS business activities for national partnerships for programs between the public sector and private companies.

Defence Electronics is a focal point of EADS' security and defense activities. This includes components and systems for defense programs such as the Eurofighter or the NH90 helicopter. In addition, Defence Electronics offers various products for missiles and military communication systems, defense electronics and all related services. EADS Defence Electronics generates most of its sales in its home market of Germany. Recently, there has also been an increasing demand in foreign markets, which EADS intends to satisfy through a corresponding globalization strategy. In his contribution to the 16th Munich Management Colloquium, Bernhard Wenzler will discuss the prerequisites for successful globalization. He will address the special features of the security-related industry and highlight the opportunities and risks for EADS.
