REpower Systems SE, a Suzlon Group company, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of onshore and offshore wind turbines. Andreas Nauenborn on July 2, 1964 in Krefeld, has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of REpower Systems SE since July 1, 2010. Andreas Nauen studied mechanical engineering in Duisburg and later business administration at the University of Hagen while working. He joined Siemens in 1991, where he initially worked in project management in the gas and steam turbine sector. He then took on sales tasks for fossil power plants in India, before taking on various sales tasks for the European market from 1996. During this time, he worked in London, Frankfurt and Erlangen until he took over responsibility for strategy and communications for the Siemens Power Generation Group from 2002 to 2004. Following the takeover of the Danish wind turbine manufacturer Bonus Energy A/S by Siemens in 2004, he built up the Group's wind energy business as CEO of Siemens Wind Power A/S.
