Knauf is one of the leading manufacturers of building materials and building systems in Europe and far beyond. Today, Knauf is represented worldwide on all five continents in more than 60 countries at over 150 locations with production facilities and sales organizations. Knauf plants produce modern dry construction systems, plasters and accessories, external thermal insulation composite systems, paints, flowing screeds and floor systems, machines and tools for the application of these products as well as insulation materials. In many countries today, the name Knauf is still synonymous with gypsum, a raw material with fascinating properties. Gypsum and gypsum-related products and insulation materials are manufactured and sold in almost all Western and Eastern European countries. The Knauf Group is represented, among others, by Mr. Alexander Knauf led. Mr. Knauf began his professional career with a banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank. This was followed by studies at the University of Passau and the London School of Economics. The next stages in his career were positions at Deutsche Bank, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, Berlin and United States Gypsum Corporation, Chicago. Since 2004, Mr. Knauf has been working in the family business in the management of the group, since January 2013 he has been managing partner.
